As part of West Coast Civil's ongoing Capital Improvement work for the City Of Dana Point; WCC prepared several miles of roadway improvements on multiple streets throughout the city. Depicted above is Camino Capistrano, which consisted of new curb and gutter, sidewalk, pop-outs, pedestrian ramps, drainage features, striping, and traffic calming measures.
Civil Engineering Projects
Naval Base Point Loma Pump Station
WCC developed site civil drawings, including demolition plans, site plans, grading plans, detail sheets, and site piping plans for the pump station. The plans will included numerous detailed sections across the pump station.
Crown Valley Parkway
WCC prepared construction documents, specifications, and estimates for a one mile of Crown Valley Parkway in Dana Point, CA. The improvements included full height median curb replacement, paving, and drainage features.
Oceanside Haymar Drive
WCC prepared construction documents for the sewer relocation which included approximately 350 feet of new 15 inch diameter sewer main that relocated sewage to the City’s permanent meter and abandoned an aging 10 inch diameter main in Haymar Drive that is outside the City limits.
Energy Upgrade Project
WCC prepared construction documents, including grading and drainage plans for an energy upgrade project at General Atomics.
Del Obispo Street Improvements
WCC prepared construction documents, specifications, and estimates for a one mile stretch of Del Obispo Street in Dana Point, CA. The improvements of this $200,000 project included new curb ramps, curb and gutter, sidewalk, grind and overlay, new paving, and drainage features.
Norfolk Canyon Sewer Long Term Access Improvement Study
WCC prepared a comprehensive Study to evaluate existing erosional conditions in Norfolk Canyon and provide recommendations for path improvements, in accordance with the City of San Diego’s (City) Canyon Sewer Cleaning Program and Long Term Canyon Sewer Maintenance Program.
Fort Hunter Liggett Fire Flow Testing Plan and Fire Hydrant Flow Tests
WCC developed a fire flow testing plan for Fort Hunter Liggett that included identification of the fire hydrants and residual pressure monitor test locations, as well as testing goals and procedures. Custom field packets were developed for use during the flow tests. WCC provided fire flow and fire hydrant tests in the field.
Riverwalk Water Study
WCC prepared a water study for the proposed Development to size the backbone public potable water system including master meters, mains, and main lot laterals. A draft study was prepared per City of San Diego’s standards and guidelines and submitted for their review
Camino Capistrano Street Improvements
Del Obispo Street Storm Drain Upgrades
WCC prepared an emergency hydrology study and construction documents to improve a flooded section of Del Obispo Street in Dana Point, CA. These documents included detailed designs for elipitcal pipe due to utility conflicts.
Naval Air Station North Island Gas Pipelines
WCC performed site investigations, developed design documents and provided construction support for the Phase 1A Gas Pipeline Distribution System for the NASNI Boiler Decentralization Project. The extent of the gas pipeline distribution system was approximately 9,000 feet of 6-inch HDPE mains and 6,000 feet of 2-inch laterals.
UC San Diego SWPPP Inspections (Tata Hall)
WCC provided Owner (UCSD) SWPPP Inspections during the Construction of the 130,000 SF Tata Hall at UC San Diego.
